The Nick Wilson Charitable Group (NWCG) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate financial support to children, teens, and their families undergoing cancer treatment and blood & marrow transplantation at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon.  NWCG seeks to improve the quality of life of families by providing significant financial support for the many costs they encounter during their child’s medical treatment.  Through this support, we hope to reduce financial stress and allow families to focus their energies where it is needed most, on the medical and social needs of their family members.

NWCG also believes that such family-centered support should be provided in an efficient, timely and easily-accessible manner that is sensitive to the family’s needs and wishes.  We accomplish this through a hospital-based referral system managed by professional medical social workers who approach NWCG with requests from eligible families.  We value family, honesty, integrity, respect, compassion, and efficiency in supporting families in need.
